Tetsuya Tanaka has worked in a variety of roles in the field of molecular biology. From 1998 to 2003, they were a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute on Aging (NIA). From 2003 to 2006, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto. From 2006 to 2012, they were an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Research Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame. Since 2016, they have been the Senior Director of Molecular Biology at Elixirgen Scientific.
Tetsuya Tanaka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Osaka City University in 1992. Tetsuya then obtained a Master's degree in Developmental Biology and Embryology from the same university in 1994. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Developmental Biology and Embryology from Osaka City University in 1997.
