Gerd Laub

Gerd Laub is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal and compliance sectors. Currently serving as Counsel at Ellex since November 2022 and Chair of the Supervisory Board at Targa Tuleviku Fond since June 2024, Gerd also teaches Capital Markets Law as a Lecturer at the University of Tartu since September 2007. Previous positions include Anti-Money Laundering Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Single.Earth, Head of Credit Legal and Head of Investment Legal at SEB Eesti, and Chief Legal Officer at Funderbeam. Gerd has also held positions at SORAINEN, SEB Pank, and Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP. Gerd holds an LL.M. in Law and Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt and both an LL.B. and a BBA from the University of Tartu.
