Mike Koupal

Mike focuses on providing accounting and assurance services to customers in the financial institution industry sector.

With over 20 years of experience in public accounting, his experience includes working with financial institutions ranging in size from $80 million to over $20 billion in assets. Michael’s external audit experience includes both private and public institutions and he leads the Firm’s Credit Union practice.

Mike also leads the Firm’s internal audit practice for financial institutions and has a broad base of internal audit experience. Within internal audit, he specializes in interest rate risk and liquidity risk management audits, data analytics, model validations, and credit administration.

Mike’s loan review experience includes experience at institutions ranging from $80 million to $8 billion in assets. His experience includes both external loan reviews and loan reviews completed during external financial statement audits, giving him a diverse perspective.
