Joanna Sutherland

Joanna Sutherland has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joanna began their career in 1999 at James Brearley & Sons Ltd, where they worked as a Corporate Actions specialist until 2000. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as a Tax Consultant at Moore & Smalley.

In 2010, Joanna joined Alliance Trust as an Operations Administrator and later transitioned to the role of Risk Analyst from 2013 to 2016. Joanna then moved to Alliance Trust Savings, where they worked as a Risk Manager from 2016 to 2018 and subsequently as a Senior Risk Assurance Manager from 2018 to 2020.

Joanna'smost recent role is with Embark Group, where they have held several positions. Joanna started as a Risk & Compliance Manager, Platforms from 2020 to 2021. Joanna then became the Head of Risk Governance from 2021 to 2022 before assuming their current position as the Director of Group Risk starting in November 2022.
