David Haworth, DVM, PhD, currently serves as Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Embark Veterinary, effective January 2024, overseeing advancements in animal health genomics. As Chair of the Research Working Group for the Human Animal Bond Research Institute since December 2010, David has played a pivotal role in establishing the first non-profit organization focused on the human-animal bond. Previously, David held leadership positions including President of Vidium Animal Health, where efforts concentrated on veterinary diagnostics, and President of PetSmart Charities, dedicated to pet adoptions. David's tenure as President and CEO of Morris Animal Foundation involved directing major research initiatives for companion animal health. Earlier experience includes various roles at Pfizer Animal Health, culminating in significant contributions to vaccine projects and collaborations aimed at enhancing veterinary care. David's educational background includes a DVM and a PhD in Reproductive Physiology from Colorado State University, alongside a BS in Biology from William & Mary.
