Head Of Intellectual Property, Grants & Academic Partnerships at Embotech

Stefano Longo currently serves as the Head of Intellectual Property, Grants & Academic Partnerships at embotech since October 2019, where responsibilities include managing the patents portfolio, academic partnerships, and funding applications. In addition, Stefano is the Head of Automated Driving, overseeing the design and development of advanced automated driving software with a team. At Cranfield University since August 2012, Stefano holds the position of Reader (Associate Professor) in Automated Vehicles, focusing on academic research and teaching in vehicle automation, motion planning, and automotive software, and has also directed the MSc programs in Advanced Motorsport Mechatronics and Automotive Mechatronics. Stefano’s earlier roles include Honorary Research Associate at Imperial College London and engineer positions at P. Ducker Systems Ltd and Servelec Controls. Stefano obtained a PhD in Networked Control Systems from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Control Systems from The University of Sheffield.
