Alessandro P. Minho is currently the Head of Research and Development at Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuaria - Embrapa Southest Livestock since October 2023, and has been a Researcher at Embrapa since March 2011, focusing on animal health programs and parasite control in small ruminants, cattle, and dairy production. Previous roles include a Researcher position at Instituto Agronomico do Paraná from 2006 to 2008, and conducting research on veterinary parasitology at CENA/USP from 2003 to 2006. Alessandro's early research involved the use of condensed tannins for animal health and helminth control while pursuing a Ph.D. at USP. Alessandro holds a postdoctoral research degree in Science from CENA and a Master's in Animal Health from UEL, where an evaluation of antibody detection tests for Toxoplasma gondii in pigs was conducted.
