Akhil Gupta

Akhil Gupta has a strong background in product management and technology consulting. Akhil is currently serving as the VP of Product for Emburse, overseeing the Spend and Cards division. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Manager at Upwork.com. From 2019 to 2021, Akhil served as a Mentor at First Round Capital, providing guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs. Akhil also held the position of Director of Product Management at Tradeshift from 2017 to 2020, where they led a global team in developing Tradeshift Go, a spend management SaaS solution. Before that, they were the Head of Product Management at Zanbato, where they successfully launched the Zanbato ZX exchange platform. Akhil has also served as the Director of Product Management at BancBox, where they played a key role in the development of an end-to-end payments solution for marketplaces and ecommerce. Prior to entering the product management field, Akhil gained experience in software development and technology consulting at companies like Tech Mahindra and Capgemini.

Akhil Gupta completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology at the Indian Institute Of Information Technology Allahabad from 2001 to 2005. Akhil then pursued an MBA degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Finance at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2010 to 2012. In addition, they obtained a certification in Chartered Financial Analyst Level I from the CFA Institute in June 2009.
