Sarah L. Buckley

Sarah Buckley, APR, currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Communications & Community Impact and Executive Director of the EMC Insurance Foundation at EMC Insurance Companies since August 2019. In this role, Sarah oversees internal and external communications, strategic messaging, media relations, and community relations, along with managing crisis communications and charitable initiatives. Prior to this position, Sarah worked as a consultant at Wells Fargo, focusing on international communications and change management, and was the owner of Buckley Communications Consulting, providing communications and marketing services to various sectors. Previous experience also includes a significant tenure as Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing & Customer Experience at GuideOne Insurance, and roles in corporate communications at Principal Financial Group, MidAmerican Energy, and Thomas C. Porter & Associates. Sarah holds a B.S. in Journalism & Mass Communication with a Public Relations emphasis from Iowa State University and has further education from Drake University.
