Tahmidul Islam

Tahmidul Islam is a seasoned statistical analyst with extensive experience in statistical analysis and research. Currently serving as a Senior Statistical Analyst at EMD Serono, Inc. since November 2022, Tahmidul has previously worked as a Statistician II at the Yale/YNHH Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation, where responsibilities included developing and executing statistical analyses to enhance quality of care. Extensive academic experience includes roles as a Graduate Assistant at the University of South Carolina, where Tahmidul instructed and assisted with various statistics courses while conducting research on the relationship between small for gestational age and infant mortality. Early career experience includes a position as a Statistical Officer at icddr,b, analyzing health surveillance data. Tahmidul holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of South Carolina, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Dhaka.
