Purpose

The Project Manager or Chief of Staff role falls under the office of the CTO. The PM is responsible for managing projects to make sure the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget and scope. Their duties include planning projects in detail, setting schedules for all stakeholders and executing each step of the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include planning and coordination of projects for healthcare organizations to ensure digital transformation delivery across applications, infrastructure, and shared services. 
  • Handle the budgeting and operational aspects, including resolving issues partnering with other business, finance, and IT executives. 
  • Drive issue resolution to ensure faster delivery of services for business partners and customers. 
  • Author internal communications, both written and oral for the office of the CTO. 
  • Engage, partner, and build relationships with other organizations to ensure strategic alignment. 
  • Organize townhalls to help foster communication. 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Learn underlying system technologies that are being delivered in the project.
  • Evaluate time, cost and scope estimates and document for stakeholders.
  • Support and conduct kick-off calls to launch new projects with stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed project plan.
  • Formulate a communication strategy for all project stakeholders and partners.
  • Publish periodic status reports. 
  • Organize and conduct standing meetings to advance project delivery.
  • Escalate risks and blockers threatening the successful delivery of projects.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of, and ability to apply, project management skills.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
