Mariana Courtney

Mariana Courtney is an experienced professional currently serving as Chief of Staff at Emergence Field Labs and as the Founder of Moonsnail Consulting. Previously, Mariana co-founded Walking Mexico, a project aimed at promoting sustainable tourism in Mexico through photography. Mariana's expertise in digital strategy was further developed during a tenure as a Strategist at Starling Strategy, where systems and processes were established to support organizational goals. In a significant role at the Presidencia de la República in Mexico, Mariana directed civic technology initiatives and acted as a Civil Society Liaison to foster collaboration with Codeando México and USAID. Earlier experience includes work as a writer, researcher, and photo editor for South African History Online. Mariana holds a Postgraduate Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Texas McCombs School of Business and a BS in International Relations from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, along with a Diploma in Photography from Academia de Artes Visuales AAVI.
