Anne de Valence

Vice President, Origination at Emergent

Anne de Valence has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Anne is currently the Director, Origination and Africa Focal Point for the LEAF Coalition at Emergent, a nonprofit organization focused on tropical forest conservation. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at UNEP-WCMC from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, Anne worked as a Freelance Translator & Interpreter, specializing in environmental policy, international relations, and public health, for various UN agencies, NGOs, and direct clients from 2015 to 2022. Anne also served as a Research Professional at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2015 to 2018. Anne's earlier experiences include teaching International Relations at Oxbridge Academic Programs in 2011 and interning at the Asia-Pacific Department of the Ministère de l'Écologie, du Développement durable et de l’Énergie in 2010.

Anne de Valence completed their Bachelor's Degree in International/Global Studies at the University of Geneva from 2005 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in International Affairs and Environment Policy at Sciences Po from 2008 to 2011.
