William Silver

William Silver has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. William started their career as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Triangle Orthopaedic Associates in 2005, where they worked until 2022. During this time, they also held the position of Medical Director and managed a large team of physicians and employees.

In 2016, William joined EmergeOrtho as the Medical Director for the Triangle Division. In this role, they continued to oversee a team of physicians and employees across multiple locations. William remained in this position until their departure in 2022.

Additionally, William has served as a Consultant for Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., providing expertise in product development and being a member of their Speaker Bureau. William was also a member of the Physician Advisory Board at athenahealth, where they contributed to EMR projects and medical discussions.

Furthermore, William has taken on advisory roles at various organizations, including FORVIS, where they are a member of the Physician Advisory Council, and Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, where they served on the Healthcare Physician Advisory Council.

William Silver has a strong educational background in the field of medicine. William obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Duke University in the years 1988 to 1992. Following this, they enrolled in the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed their Medical Degree (MD) from 1993 to 1997. Afterward, they pursued their Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Duke University School of Medicine, which spanned from 1997 to 2002. Lastly, they further specialized in Sports Medicine by completing a Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from 2002 to 2003.
