Lucy Yochman has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Lucy began their career as a Medical Technologist at University Hospital in Cincinnati in 1984, where they worked in Molecular Pathology, Cellular, and Humoral Immunology. Lucy then moved on to Health Alliance, where they served as the Lead Technologist in Immunology, managing CAP Survey Testing and training staff.
In 2000, Lucy transitioned to a role as a Web Designer and Application Analyst at The Health Alliance, where they worked on various sections of the company's website. After that, they joined Mercy Health Partners as a Business Analyst and later became a DBA, responsible for maintaining interfaces between local HIE and Mercy Health Partners' Epic System.
Lucy then worked as a Senior Analyst in LIS at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center before joining Health Data Specialists as a Consultant in Bridges Interface Analyst. In this role, they worked on data conversions and interface implementation for Asante Health Systems' go live. Lucy was responsible for converting various types of data, including laboratory results, radiology results, transcriptions, and scanned documents.
Following that, Lucy worked as a Consultant - Sr Integration Analyst at TEKsystems and then as a Senior Consultant at Nordic Consulting Partners, where they provided expertise in healthcare IT consulting. Lucy later joined Virginia Hospital Center, initially as the Manager of Interfaces and Conversions, Epic Release Manager/Nova Admin, and later as the Project Manager and Epic Release Manager/Nova Admin.
Most recently, Lucy joined Emerging Tech as an Application Interface Project Manager in 2022.
Lucy Yochman obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health from The Ohio State University, which they attended from 1980 to 1984. In addition, they completed a certification in Database Administration from the University of Cincinnati, where they studied Web Design and Development, Software Development, and Database Administration from 1997 to 2000.
Lucy also holds several additional certifications. Lucy obtained the Epic Data Courier Certification from Epic in April 2018. Prior to that, they received the Epic Beaker Certification from Epic in August 2013, and the Epic Bridges Certification in December 2008. Furthermore, they acquired the Medical Technologist (MT) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathologists in July 1984.
