Mhairi Louise Hickey (Lou)

Mhairi Louise (Lou) Hickey is an accomplished lecturer and vocal instructor at Glasgow Kelvin College since November 2013, with extensive experience in music education and performance. In parallel, Mhairi has served as an instrumental music instructor for Glasgow City Council since October 2012 and has been a songwriter for EMI Music Publishing since October 2008. Mhairi was also an artist and vocalist/writer with Codeine Velvet Club under Island Records from April 2009 to June 2010. Previous roles include box office supervisor at Academy Music Group from August 2003 to October 2009 and vocal instructor for Renfrewshire Council from August 2007 to June 2008. Mhairi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Music from the University of Strathclyde, earned between 2001 and 2005.
