Sal Okwen

Sal Okwen has extensive work experience in project management and agile methodologies. They have served as a Senior Scrum Master/Agile Lead at Emids since 2022. Prior to that, Sal worked as a Senior Scrum Master/Agile Coach at USAA from 2021 to 2022. They also held the position of Senior Scrum Master at Lumen Technologies from 2018 to 2020. Before transitioning into the agile space, Sal worked as a Scrum Master at Walmart from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they have experience as a Project Manager at The Center for Pursuit from 2013 to 2015 and as a Banking Analyst at NFC Bank from 2009 to 2012. Sal started their career as a Financial Analyst at Groupe SAAR from 2004 to 2006.

Sal Okwen has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management from the University of Buea and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Financial Economics from the University of Agder (UiA). In addition, they have obtained various certifications in Agile Software Development, Product Ownership, Scrum, and Agile Coaching.
