Mesut Uzman has held various leadership roles in the nuclear energy industry. Mesut started their career at Westinghouse Electric Company, where they were recognized as a top performer and future industry leader. Mesut then joined Invensys, where they played a crucial role in securing the company's nuclear program in China. After that, Uzman worked at Jacobs, where they focused on solving physical and cyber security challenges for critical infrastructure projects, including nuclear power plants. Currently, they are working at Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation as Vice President of Engineering and Technical Services, leading the development of the Barakah nuclear scheme, the first open and peaceful nuclear energy program in the Middle East. Uzman's deep knowledge of international nuclear technology, understanding of Arabian culture and business conditions, and ability to deliver results in challenging situations have been instrumental in their career success.
Mesut Uzman's education history includes a strategic negotiations course at Harvard Business School in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) at The Ohio State University from 1995 to 1997. Mesut obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Anadolu University from 1989 to 1993. In addition, they have obtained certifications such as Learning Splunk from LinkedIn in 2020, Nuclear Quality Assurance Auditor from Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation in 2014, Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2009, PM-3/Certified Senior Project Manager from Westinghouse Electric Company in 2009, and Six Sigma Black Belt from Westinghouse Electric Company in 2007.
