Dean Emmerton

Dean Emmerton is the managing partner at Emko Capital. Prior to this, they were an associate partner at McKinsey & Company from August 2012 to January 2017. At McKinsey, Dean was a marketing and sales expert specializing in industrials and aerospace manufacturing and services. Dean was responsible for transformational growth engagements for clients ranging from small privately held businesses to Fortune 500 clients. Dean has deep experience in high tech manufacturing environments, product development, and go-to-market strategy for highly engineered products.

Before joining McKinsey, Dean worked as a process improvement engineer III at Celgard from October 2006 to August 2010. In this role, they oversaw a large capacity expansion project to install, commission, and debug 5 new production lines of $5-10MM capital cost. Dean led cascading project teams over 18-months and 24x7 execution to commission new lines. Dean also managed up to 30 technicians during this time.

Dean began their career as a process improvement and process engineer at Milliken & Company from June 2005 to October 2006.

Dean Emmerton has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with Honors in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
