Nishan Bose

Nishan Bose has a diverse range of work experience, spanning from software engineering to product management. Nishan started their career in 2010 as a Software Test Engineer at EFI. From there, they worked as a Head of Product at Campus Diaries, where they developed a responsive web-based platform and implemented Agile/Scrum methodologies. Nishan then transitioned to roles such as Software Engineer at Quicken Loans and Product Consultant at Opportunity@Work.

In 2015, Nishan joined the University of Michigan as a Graduate Student Instructor before moving on to Indeed.com as an Associate Product Manager. At Indeed.com, they gained valuable experience in product management.

Nishan continued to progress in their career, becoming a Senior Product Manager at TrueCar, Inc. Nishan was responsible for building a reliable CI/CD platform and developing B2B tools that proved ROI for dealerships. Nishan also successfully launched an advertising product with significant monthly recurring revenue.

In 2020, Nishan joined Tripadvisor as a Product Manager. During their time there, they were instrumental in launching a new product for restaurant owners and achieving $100K ARR. Nishan conducted user interviews, analyzed customer behavior, and developed a global go-to-market plan and pricing strategy to meet revenue goals.

Most recently, in 2021, Nishan became a Staff Product Manager at Emotive, where they are currently focused on product management responsibilities.

Nishan Bose obtained a Master's Degree in Information Science from the University of Michigan - School of Information between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, between 2006 and 2010, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from Manipal Institute of Technology. In addition to their formal education, Nishan also obtained a certification in "Architecting on AWS" from Amazon Web Services in November 2013.
