Alessia Botta

Alessia Botta is an experienced engineering manager and lead embedded software engineer at Empatica from December 2017 to the present, with a background as a junior embedded software engineer. Alongside this role, Alessia has been a ski instructor at Scuola Sci Marguareis since December 2013, catering to international customers during the winter season. In 2017, Alessia completed a master thesis at Campus Biotech, focusing on the mechanical stimulation of tendons for upper limb amputees, which included hardware development and experimental evaluations. Previous experience includes an internship at i-m3d spa in early 2015, participating in a clinical study on breast tomosynthesis. Alessia holds a double degree from Alta Scuola Politecnica and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, completed with a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Politecnico di Torino. Additional educational experience includes an exchange at EPFL and Tampere University of Technology.
