James Callahan, PhD has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. James currently serves as the Director of Communications, Development, and Advocacy at Employment & Employer Services (E&ES) since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Executive Communications Consultant starting from June 2017.
In terms of academia, Dr. Callahan worked as an Adjunct Professor of Religious studies at Elmhurst University starting from August 2000. In this role, they taught undergraduate coursework, including coursework in the Niebuhr Center.
James also held the position of Director at One Collective from August 2018 to December 2021. Previously, they worked as the Senior Director of Communications at Bible League International from March 2015 to October 2017.

James began their educational journey in 1982 at Emmaus Bible College, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Bible/Biblical Studies in 1985. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Theology/Theological Studies at Wheaton College, which they completed in 1986. Continuing their academic pursuits, Callahan then attended Marquette University from 1986 to 1994, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Religious Studies. This comprehensive educational background has undoubtedly equipped Callahan with a diverse and deep understanding of religious and theological studies. Additionally, in July 2023, they obtained a certification in "Developing a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program" from LinkedIn, supplementing their qualifications and showcasing their commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
