Kayla Nations has extensive experience in emergency management, firefighting, and community engagement, currently serving as a Civil Defense/EMA at the Mississippi Civil Defense Emergency Management Association since May 2020. Kayla holds multiple roles, including Firefighter at the Carthage Fire Department and Community Engagement Officer at the Mississippi Weather Network, both since 2017. Additionally, Kayla is the Fire Chief at the Ofahoma Volunteer Fire Department and participates in search and rescue with EMS World. Kayla has been involved with the American Red Cross in various capacities since 2018, including Service to Armed Forces and Disaster Action Team. Other notable roles include Head Cheer Coach for the City of Pearl, Senior Executive at L. D. O'MIRE Insurance Agency, and Firefighter at Camden Fire. Educationally, Kayla holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Belhaven University and a degree in Fire Science from American Military University.
