Marcie Glicksman has a strong background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Marcie is currently the Head of Biology at EnClear Therapies since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a CSO consultant for their own business starting in December 2019. From January 2015 to December 2019, Marcie served as the Chief Scientific Officer at ORIG3N. Marcie was responsible for driving therapeutics development and collaborating with academic partners during their tenure. Before that, they worked at the Laboratory for Drug Discovery in Neurodegeneration at Harvard Medical School and Brigham Women's Hospital from November 2004 to January 2015 as the Director and Assistant Professor. During this time, Marcie contributed to numerous publications and patents, as well as the creation of eight spin-out companies, raising over $40 million in combined financing. Marcie also served as a Clinical Consultant at Dara Therapeutics from July 2004 to July 2005, where they wrote preclinical and toxicology packages for IND filing. Additionally, Marcie held the position of Director of Preclinical Pharmacology at Descartes Therapeutics from December 2002 to July 2004, overseeing preclinical testing and authoring protocols. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Director of Leads Discovery at Cubist Pharmaceuticals from February 2000 to December 2002. Prior to that, Marcie was a Principal Scientist at DuPont Pharmaceuticals, where they led a team and developed assays in various therapeutic areas. Marcie also played a role in the collaboration with an external partner. From 1991 to 1997, they worked as a Scientist at Cephalon, Inc., where they developed a kinase inhibitor for CNS applications and prepared IND materials.
Marcie Glicksman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Brown University, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. Marcie then pursued further education and earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis from 1980 to 1985.
