Lewis Churchfield

Lewis Churchfield is a highly experienced scientific professional with a strong background in protein engineering and biochemistry. Currently, Lewis serves as a Staff Scientist at Encodia since March 2022, following a role as Senior Scientist at Pacific BioScience Inc. Lewis held multiple positions at Omniome, from Scientist I to Scientist II, from August 2018 to September 2021, and previously conducted graduate research at the University of California, San Diego, from September 2012 to June 2018. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry (Chemical Biology Track) and a Master of Science in Chemistry from UC San Diego, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. Notable skills include structure-based protein design, x-ray crystallography, molecular dynamics simulations, and various biophysical characterization methods.
