Phil I. has worked in the software engineering field since 2001. Phil started as a Software Engineer at Honeywell Safety Products in 2001 and then moved to Covidien (Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group) in 2010, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2015, they worked as a Staff Software Engineer - Surgical Robotics at Medtronic and then as a Principal Software Engineer - Surgical Robotics at Covidien (Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group). From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Engineering Manager - Surgical Robotics and Software Engineering Manager - Surgical Robotics at Medtronic. Currently, they are the Director of Software Engineering at EndoQuest Robotics\u2122.

Phil I. attended the University of Hartford from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering.
