Walter Zalis has a diverse work experience in various roles. Walter started their career as an Intern at MedImmune, where they contributed to the development of the company's business continuity plan and wrote weekly public affairs and media activity reports. Walter later became a Member of the Corporate Communications Group at MedImmune, working closely with the business and public affairs teams.

After that, Zalis joined Energetics as a Program Manager, where they gained over 13 years of experience as a technical, strategic, and management consultant. Walter led and supported projects focused on market transformation and technology development strategies, including smart city solutions, hydrogen and fuel cell technology, green buildings, alternative energy vehicles, climate change resilience, and IT solutions.

Zalis then moved to Guidehouse as a Senior Consultant within the National Security Sector.
