Zaki Alam

Zaki Alam has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2000 with their role as a Senior Director of Information Technology at Nervewire, where they managed the IT team and was responsible for the budget, resources, and architecture. During this time, they also led the Infrastructure Architecture team and worked on projects for CVS Corporation, including assessing and recommending an Enterprise System Management solution.

In 2004, Zaki became an Executive Principal/Owner at SMART Corporation, Inc, where they provided independent consulting services. Notable projects included conducting a security audit and recommending enhancements for Royal Ahold, and architecting a centralized IT infrastructure for CVS Corporation's pharmacy application.

Zaki joined Ahold Delhaize in 2006 as a Global Senior Infrastructure Architect and later became the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture. In these roles, they aligned the enterprise IT strategy with the business strategy, developed IT roadmaps, published a retail business capability model, and led projects such as implementing a data platform in the cloud and overhauling the integration platform.

From 2018 to 2019, Zaki served as the CTO/Senior Executive VP at NexelT, Inc, where they established a global management consulting and professional services practice focused on blockchain and fintech and healthtech industries.

In 2018, Zaki also joined GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) as an Advisory Council Member, advising clients on information technology, with a focus on retail, cloud, data, infrastructure, networking, and IT strategy.

Zaki became a community member of Hyperledger in 2018 and a founder/senior consultant at SMART Corporation, Inc. in 2018.

Zaki's more recent work experience includes roles at Energi Core, where they served as an Information Technology Generalist and later became the Manager, Global Support, overseeing a global team providing technical and non-technical support to customers. Zaki also worked as a Community Manager at Energi Core.

In 2021, Zaki joined GonnaMakeIt NFT Marketplace as an Information Technology Generalist, and in 2022, they joined Vistas Cloud as a Senior Technology Consultant.

Throughout their career, Zaki has demonstrated expertise in technology consulting, blockchain, enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and cloud computing.

Zaki Alam attended St. Joseph High School in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 1972 to 1979 and obtained a Secondary School Certificate.

From 1979 to 1981, Zaki attended Dhaka College in Dhaka, Bangladesh and obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate.

In 1982, Zaki briefly attended the University of Dhaka, where they studied Economics.

In 1983, Zaki attended the University of Oklahoma, focusing on Electrical Engineering.

From 1984 to 1987, Zaki pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
