Efren Manarang

Efren Manarang has extensive experience in crane operation and maritime management, currently serving as a Heavy Lift Crane Operator and Night Barge Captain at Energy Drilling Management Pte Ltd since 2015. Previously, Efren held positions as a Senior Knuckle Boom Crane Operator on the ultra-deep-water drillship West Saturn with Seadrill AME, managing 85 Tonne Active Heave Cranes and Riser Gantry operations. Additional experience includes roles as a Heavy Lift Crane Operator on the West Vencedor Semi Tender Rig and with self-erecting semi-tender rigs, where responsibilities encompassed organizing operations and assisting in rig moves and anchor handling. Earlier career roles include working as a Crane Operator with Seadrill Sdn Bhd and Smedvig Sdn Bhd. Efren's education includes degrees in Diesel Mechanics and Automotive Engineering Technology from CCTI Technical Institute and Laguna College from 1981 to 1985, complemented by vocational training in Diesel Mechanics Technology.
