Joseph Rico has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joseph started their career in 2002 as a Summer Vacation Relief at Stora Enso, where they assisted with the operation of a paper mill. In 2005, they interned as a Materials Engineer at Ladish, focusing on quality control and automation. From 2006 to 2013, they worked at IBM as an Electronics Packaging Engineer, specializing in the development of I/O and storage enclosures. In 2012, they co-founded Advanced LIM. Since 2013, Joseph has been at Energy Economics, Inc., initially serving as a Mechanical Development Engineer responsible for the design and maintenance of sonic nozzle gas meter provers. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Operations, overseeing the operations of the Measurement division, which includes residential and commercial meter remanufacturing, metrology and software services, and field measurement.
Joseph Rico earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where they attended from 2002 to 2006.
