Kyoung Min

Kyoung Min is a highly experienced Sr. Reservoir Engineer and Data Scientist at the Energy & Environmental Research Center, specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods for reservoir simulation, geomechanics modeling, and enhanced oil recovery analysis. Previous roles include Reservoir Research Engineer in an energy technology startup, where Kyoung Min developed less-water intensive fracking technologies, and Associate Researcher at the University of Oklahoma, focusing on hybrid data-physics models for unconventional reservoirs. Extensive experience at Anadarko Petroleum involved optimizing completion designs and data analytics for unconventional reservoirs, while earlier work at Shell Oil Company included geomechanical assessments for fractured reservoirs. Kyoung Min holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering and dual Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and the University of Michigan.
