Paul Hughes

Paul Hughes is a seasoned professional in data science and analytics with extensive experience in the finance and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Data & Analytics at Energy Infrastructure Partners AG since June 2021, Paul also owns Swiss Data Science GmbH since October 2013. Previously, roles included Director and Sector Head of Advanced & Sales Analytics at Credit Suisse, where responsibilities encompassed developing analytics services for private banking and wealth management. Paul has also worked as a freelance data scientist, a Portfolio Manager at Harcourt Investment Consulting, and an Associate Director at Swiss Capital Alternative Investments. In the earlier stages of the career, Paul was a Quantitative Analyst at Airtricity, focusing on wind energy production. Educational background includes advanced degrees in Quantitative Finance from ETH Zürich and the University of Zurich, as well as a Master’s in Physics from University College Dublin and a Bachelor’s in Experimental Physics and Biology from Maynooth University.
