David Pilling has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. David began their career in 1992 at the Department for Education as a Higher Executive Officer/Executive Officer, where they worked until 2001. From 2001 to 2005, they worked at the General Medical Council, initially as a Senior Committee Coordinator and then as a Policy Advisor. In 2005, they joined RICS as a Senior Policy Advisor and later took on roles as a Regulatory Project Manager and the Global Head of Regulation Policy and Ethics. David worked at RICS until 2014. In the same year, they also started working at the Insolvency Practitioners Association as an Independent Member of the IPA Disciplinary Committee. In 2014, they joined Ombudsman Services as an Assistant Director of Policy and Business Development, and later held roles as an Ombudsman and the Head of Policy and Public Affairs. David'slast recorded role was as the Head of Policy and Public Affairs at Ombudsman Services in April 2018.
David Pilling received their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Birmingham City University. After that, they went on to earn their Barrister qualification from the Inns of Court School of Law. Following their barrister training, David pursued a Legal masters (LLM) degree from Queen Mary University of London. Later on, they obtained their Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator certification from ADR Group.
