Brad Welsh

Brad Welsh is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the mining and public sectors. Currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at nib Group since July 2023 and as Chief Executive Officer at Energy Resources of Australia Ltd since October 2021, Brad Welsh has previously held significant roles at Rio Tinto, including Chief Advisor to the CEO for Indigenous Affairs and Manager of various mining operations. Brad Welsh's early career includes positions as a Policy Advisor for the Office of the Premier NSW and the NSW Minister for Planning, along with roles at the Office of the Prime Minister Australia and various positions within the NSW Department of Community Services. Educational credentials include a Masters in Mining Engineering from UNSW, a Bachelor of Laws from UNSW, and a Bachelor of Welfare focusing on Aboriginal Community Studies from Western Sydney University, complemented by the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
