Bill Taylor has extensive work experience in engineering and management roles in the energy and renewable energy sectors. William D (Bill) is currently the Director of the Engineering Center of Excellence at Energy Systems Group (ESG), where they lead a team of subject matter experts in energy conservation designs. Prior to this, they worked as the Engineering Manager for Resiliency & Innovative Solutions at ESG's Federal Business Unit. Before ESG, they held leadership positions at Honeywell, including Engineering Operations Leader for Honeywell Energy Services Group (HESG) and Solutions Development Leader for Honeywell Building Solutions' Americas' Energy and Environmental Solutions (EES) business. William D (Bill) also served as the Engineering Manager for Honeywell Building Solutions' Eastern Region. In addition, they have experience as a business, engineering, and project leader at WDTaylor-PE and as a member of Natural Power Solutions, LLC. Earlier in their career, they were the owner of BT&T Consulting, an engineering consulting firm, and a partner at Innovative Dispute Resolutions, LLC, a firm specializing in alternative methods of conflict resolution. William D (Bill) also worked as an Engineering Manager at Pitney Bowes, IPEC Precision, and Hughes Danbury Optical Systems, where they were involved in managing engineering operations and leading development projects.

Bill Taylor attended Basic High School from 1970 to 1975. William D (Bill) then went on to study at the University of Utah from 1974 to 1977, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During their time at the University of Washington from 1978 to 1979, Bill pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Fluid Flow and Numerical Methods.
