Andres Lucas has extensive work experience in the energy industry, with a focus on commodity logistics and trading. Andres started their career at Intevep, where they conducted research on asphaltene deposition in Venezuelan crude oil. Andres then moved to PDVSA, where they worked as a process engineer, performing feasibility studies and providing support for existing operations. After that, Andres worked at Westar Energy as a senior project engineer, automating energy trading processes using PCI software. Andres further expanded their expertise at Power Costs, Inc., serving as a senior project engineer and later as a senior product manager, managing teams and providing integrated ETRM solutions to natural gas and power companies. Andres also served as a senior business analyst at Chesapeake Energy and EOG Resources, where they worked on various projects related to the management of commodity transactions. Most recently, Andres joined Energy Transfer as a principal.
Andres Lucas has a diverse educational background. Andres earned their Executive Energy MBA from the University of Oklahoma - Price College of Business in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Natural Gas Engineering and Management from the University of Oklahoma in 2005. In 2001, they completed a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management from the same university. Andres also holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana (VE), which they earned in 1996. Andres'ssecondary education took place at Colegio Jefferson from 1980 to 1991. Additionally, Andres has obtained certifications in various subjects such as C#: Design Patterns and Windows Presentation Foundation.
