Tom Davies

Tom Davies has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple companies and roles. Tom is currently working as a Principal Embedded Systems Engineer at Enerpac since January 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as an Electronic Engineer at Enerpac from March 2020 to January 2022.

Before joining Enerpac, Tom worked at Halytech as a Lead Design Engineer from April 2016 to February 2020 and as a Design Engineer from November 2014 to April 2016.

Tom also worked at Hyperdrive Innovation as an Electronics Engineer from March 2012 to July 2014. Tom'srole included various aspects of electronic engineering, such as concept development, circuit design, PCB layout, testing, and validation.

Tom's work experience also includes a position as an Electronics Engineer at AVID Innovation Limited from December 2011 to March 2012.

In addition, they served as a 2011 Census Enumerator at the Office for National Statistics from April 2011 to May 2011. Tom'sresponsibilities included face-to-face contact with the public, answering queries, and assisting with form completion.

Lastly, Tom completed a University Industrial Placement at GE Oil & Gas Pipeline Solutions from September 2009 to January 2010. During this time, they designed and developed an Inertial Mapping Unit (IMU) Simulator for testing pipeline vehicles without the need for an expensive IMU dedicated for testing purposes.

Tom Davies completed their education from 2006 to 2011. Tom obtained an MEng degree in Electronic Engineering from Newcastle University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Following that, they pursued an MSc (with Distinction) in Embedded Systems Engineering at the University of Leeds in 2010-2011. In addition to their degrees, Tom also obtained two certifications. In January 2014, they completed the "Embedded Systems - Shape the World" course from edX, and in October 2013, they finished the "Introduction to Computer Science and Programming" course, also from edX.
