Hanif Montazeri, Ph.D.

Hanif Montazeri, Ph.D. has been working in various capacities since 2001. Hanif began as a Research Assistant at Sharif University of Technology in 2001. In 2004, they joined the University of Toronto as an Adjunct Professor, Postdoctoral Fellow in Microfluidic Fuel Cell Research, and Lecturer. During their time at the University of Toronto, they developed numerical schemes for implementing a highly accurate quantum-mechanics-based evaporation model into a continuum-mechanics-based CFD code, as well as conducted research in turbulent multiphase flows. In 2013, they became the President of NuPhysics Consulting Ltd. In 2016, they Co-Founded and became the CEO of Enersion Inc. In 2017, they Co-Founded and became the President of Lantern Institute, a company that re-purposes graduates of STEM fields into a fulfilling career in new emerging fields.

Hanif Montazeri, Ph.D. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto between 2004 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Thermo-Fluid Mechanics from Sharif University of Technology between 2001 and 2003. Hanif began their education journey by obtaining a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Solid Mechanics from Isfahan University of Technology between 1997 and 2001.
