Akeza Muhire has experience in various roles and organizations. In 2018, at the University of California, Riverside, they worked as a Youth Programs Lead, where they converted in-person programs into virtual activities, conducted remote training, and recruited new families, generating additional revenue. Akeza also worked as a Housing Conference Team Member, providing tours and delivering exceptional customer service.
In 2019, Akeza served as the Vice President Finance for Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. Akeza rearranged the budget during the COVID-19 pandemic, raised $10,000 in philanthropy donations, managed finances and expenditures, and created monthly budgetary reports.
Akeza interned at Kiva in two different roles. As a Kiva Capital Finance & Operations Intern, they gained experience in finance and operations. As a Talent Programs Intern, they assisted in talent-related initiatives.
At Mercy Corps, Akeza worked as a Corporate Finance Accounting Intern. Akeza contributed to the FY21 audit, organized financial files, verified journal entries, improved Accounts Payable procedures, managed a large-scale leasing project, and implemented efficient documentation and journal entry filing systems.
Most recently, Akeza joined EngenderHealth as a Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis - Analyst.
Akeza Muhire completed their high school education from Rift Valley Academy, graduating with a High School Diploma between 2013 and 2017. Afterward, they attended the University of California, Riverside, from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Managerial Economics.
