Daniel Veilleux

Associate Director at enGene

Daniel Veilleux is an accomplished professional in the field of biomedical engineering with extensive experience in drug formulation and delivery systems. Currently serving as Associate Director at enGene since February 2017, Daniel has held several roles including Senior Scientist and CMC Scientist, focusing on the development of innovative formulations for intra-colonic and intra-vesicular drug administration, as well as the use of novel polymers for nucleic acid delivery. Daniel earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, where research included the development of lyophilized nanoparticle compositions for gene delivery and chitosan-based scaffolds for cartilage repair. Previous internships also involve contributions to mechanobiology and nanocomposite manufacturing. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University.
