Brian English began their career in 1993 as a Co-op Engineer for Imperial Sugar Company. In 1996, they moved to AstenJohnson as a Plant Engineer. In 1998, they joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Research Engineer II, where they executed, managed, and reported scientific research. Brian also developed miniature actuators for microsatellite steering, thermal gas separation technology, and process control software and code for legacy equipment. During their time at Georgia Institute of Technology, they also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they studied microfabrication and electronic packaging production techniques to develop microactuators. In 2006, they founded EngeniusMicro, LLC, where they serve as the Owner/CTO/Principal Investigator. EngeniusMicro's capabilities include advanced MEMS sensor design and process development, additively manufactured electronics packaging for austere environments, and integration of these components into multi-sensor control platforms. Brian is proud of their team's ability to develop unique microfabrication and additive processes with exceptional quality and yield.
Brian English received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1997. Brian then went on to receive a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 2001. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in MEMS and Microfabrication from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006.
