Andrew Carey

Andrew Carey is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various roles within ENGIE Africa, currently serving as CFO Southern Africa since May 2015. In this position, Andrew has enhanced the internal control environment and improved reporting processes, providing quality information to stakeholders. Previously, as CFO of Peakers Operations, Andrew implemented a comprehensive ERP system that automated integration across multiple modules. Andrew's career also includes roles as Finance Manager at Adapt IT Holdings and Lobster Ink, where key contributions included finance consolidation and value stream projects. Earlier experience includes positions at ENGIE Africa as a Reporting Accountant, Gundog Limited Consulting as a Management Accountant, and Deloitte as a Trainee SAICA Chartered Accountant. Andrew holds a B. Comm. Honours in Financial Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a B. Accounting from Stellenbosch University.
