Ianis Van Steendam started their work experience in 2009 as an Adjunct van de directeur at Vlaamse Overheid. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as a Contract & Risk Manager at COFELY FABRICOM - GDF SUEZ GROUP. In 2017, they joined ENGIE as a Legal Counsel Energy Services and held this role until 2021. From 2021 to 2023, they served as a Senior Legal Counsel - Head of Energy Services at ENGIE Middle-East, South & Central Asia, Turkey and Africa. Currently, they are the Head of Legal & Ethics at ENGIE Energy Access (Africa) since 2023.
Ianis Van Steendam began their education at Ghent University from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Master's degree in Law. They then attended the University of Tübingen from 2006 to 2007, earning another Master's degree in Law. In 2007, they pursued their education at Universite D'Auvergne, specializing in Political Science and International Relations and completing a Master's degree in the subject in 2008. Finally, from 2014 to 2015, Ianis attended Paris-Pantheon-Assas University and obtained a Master's degree in Contract Management.
