Terry Lockwood

Director, Business Development & Sample Operations - Commercial Division at Engineered Floors

Terry Lockwood has over 30 years of experience in various roles within the flooring industry. Their most recent position, which they started in December 2017, is the Director of Business Development & Sample Operations for the Commercial Division at Engineered Floors, LLC. In this role, they lead two teams - the Business Development Team, which handles sample orders, construction project leads, and provides technical information and pricing quotes to clients, and the Sample Operations Team, which manages and fulfills sample orders.

Prior to their current role, Terry worked at J+J Flooring Group for over 20 years in two different positions. From July 2015 to December 2017, they served as the Director of CX Strategy, and from November 1994 to June 2015, they were the Director of IT and Information Systems.

Before joining J+J Flooring Group, Terry worked at The Dosimetry Management Company from 1985 to 1994, where they held the role of Lead Developer. During their time there, they managed the software development process, coded as a Systems Analyst/Programmer, supported and maintained the corporate computing environment, and traveled extensively across the U.S.

Prior to their role at The Dosimetry Management Company, Terry worked at General Physics from 1981 to 1985 as a Systems Analyst. In this position, they developed software for research projects and implemented safety systems in power plant simulators throughout the U.S.

Terry Lockwood pursued their education at various institutions. Between 1986 and 1994, they attended Kennesaw State University's Michael J. Coles College of Business, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems. Prior to this, from 1980 to 1982, they attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College, earning an Associate's Degree in Computer Science. Terry's educational journey began at East Ridge High School, where they obtained their High School diploma with a focus on College Prep in 1978.
