James Sprague has a solid work experience in the engineering and automotive industry. James started their career at Goodyear, where they worked as a Development Engineer and later as a Race Tire Engineer, specializing in the design of IMSA and SCCA sports car racing tires. James then moved on to work at Exponent as a Managing Engineer for six years, before joining Packer Engineering as a Senior VP for eight years. Currently, James is the Principal and Director of Automotive Biomechanics and Design at Engineering Systems Inc.

James Sprague has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. James obtained their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from The University of Akron, from 1984 to 1988.
