Denise McMahon

Northern Region Representative at Engineers Ireland

Denise McMahon is an accomplished sustainability and carbon consultant currently serving as an Associate at AtkinsRéalis since January 2021, while also holding the position of Principal Engineer. In addition, Denise serves as a Construction Sector Advisor for the Northern Ireland Procurement Board and acts as the Northern Region Representative for Engineers Ireland, participating in significant industry discussions and serving as Vice Chair of the Professionals Council. Previously, Denise held leadership roles as Chair of the Construction Professionals' Council of Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Construction Group, fostering collaboration among diverse construction sectors. With a strong engineering background, Denise has worked as a Principal Engineer at KEVIN MCSHANE LTD and a Senior Engineer at AECOM, culminating extensive experience in highway and traffic engineering projects. Currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Climate Change Engineering at Trinity College Dublin, Denise's educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Dundee and Limerick Institute of Technology, along with an HNC in Civil Engineering.
