Peter Swenson

Peter Swenson is currently a Research Assistant at the UMass Transportation Center (UMTC) since September 2022. Previously, Peter held the position of Public Outreach and Engagement Intern at MassDOT during the summer of 2024, supporting the Highway Public Involvement Office. In early 2024, Peter served as a Grader for CEE 310: Intro to Transportation Engineering at the College of Engineering, UMass Amherst. An Engineering Intern role at Vanasse & Associates, Inc. in the summer of 2023 involved assisting in Transportation Impact Assessments and analyzing intersections using Synchro. Earlier work experience includes positions as Kitchen Staff at Vinwood Caterers, a Summer Camp Counselor at Trinity Preschool, and a Bagger at Market Basket. Peter is pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, following a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the same institution and a study period at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
