Stephan Smith

Stephan Smith is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in sports law and regulatory matters. Currently serving as Senior Counsel for World Rugby since February 2023, Smith supports the organization in achieving its regulatory and disciplinary objectives. Additional roles include Independent Integrity Expert for FIFA, Pro Bono Legal Counsel for UEFA, and Chair and Panel Member for England Boxing's National Disciplinary and Safeguarding Review Panels. Smith's previous tenure as Legal Counsel at The Football Association involved managing legal risks and overseeing integrity investigations within English football.
