Daniel Coughlan is an experienced professional in sports science and medicine, currently serving as Director at Fortius Performance Limited since May 2017, providing scientific and medical support to various sporting organizations and athletes. Coughlan holds multiple key roles, including Head of Strength and Conditioning for the PGA European Tour and National Lead for Sports Science and Medicine at England Golf. Additionally, Coughlan is a Senior Lecturer at St Mary’s University, Co-Founder of the Golf Performance Network, and holds visiting researcher status at Middlesex University. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Sports and Exercise Medicine, an MSc in Physiotherapy, and a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science, all obtained from the University of Essex. Previous experience includes positions at UCL as a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow and at Nuffield Health as a Senior Physiotherapist. Coughlan also contributed to Scotland Lacrosse as Head of Medical Services.
