Jacob Bird

Jacob Bird is an accomplished music educator and performer with extensive experience in academia and event management. Currently serving as the Director of Studies in Music (Cover) at St Catherine's College, University of Oxford, and a Lecturer in Music at both the PRINCIPAL AND FELLOWS OF SOMERVILLE COLLEGE and The Queen's College, Oxford, Jacob Bird is responsible for tutorial tuition, pastoral care, and admissions interviewing. As a Music Instructor at the English National Ballet School, Jacob Bird teaches music theory and history to enhance students' dancing skills. Additionally, Jacob Bird performs as a pianist for high-profile events and works as an Executive Assistant for PEA EVENTS MANAGEMENT LIMITED, orchestrating international events across multiple countries. Jacob Bird holds a DPhil in Musicology from the University of Oxford, along with a Master’s Degree in Music and a Bachelor's Degree in Music from the University of Cambridge.
